THIS IS THE LIFE
Review by Deborah Minter
STEVE EALES (Ealsey to his mates) always gives 110% and then some. His brand album, This Is The Life, is his second since the demise of the acclaimed country rock band SOVEREIGN. His self-penned songs are full to the brim with honest country attitudes. This Is The Life is an iconic anthem to Aussies who work hard and play harder. Short Cut, Short Ride draws the line between one night and making the long haul. Echuca Sun displays Ealsey’s softer side, as does Unwanted, a haunting track of loneliness and rejection. Luv U 2 Pcs rejoices in the way love lightens burdens and makes every day brighter. Closer To The Moon simply oozes with romantic seduction. Stand In Line closes on a high. Ealsey is one of those guys you would have at the top of any party invite list or on the bill at any good-time event and, like him, his music is top shelf – right up there with the Bundy Red.
