There was a hell of a commotion when the word got around
That the rodeo girls were in town
So we bargained with the boss and took the weekend off
Packed the F250 and drove her down
We were running kinda late driving through the showground gate
We musta’ missed a round or two
But we were so pre-occupied with the way those cowgirls ride
In their tight blue jeans and buckles, hats and boots
We showed our appreciation for the best show in creation
Roaring from the rails without relent
Until some rodeo clown all attitude and muscle bound
Hollered out “you boys get off the fence”
Well there was barrel racing whip cracking bronc riding guns

Well the judges picked the rodeo queen
She had the most amazing eyes of green

But I was standing next to Dan who fancied himself the ladies man
And he reckoned that he was the one she saw
That night above the trees the moon and the stars
Shone a silver light on our open air bar
The rodeo queen she was nowhere to be found
But there were plenty more rodeo girls to go ‘round
