Move On c 2006 Steve Eales (Shock)
It’s a clear blue day on a red dirt road
Nothing is moving ‘cept the spinifex blowing
And a trail of dust that’s following me outa town
I’m living the moment for the very first time
Drinking my freedom like a sweet chilled wine
I step on the pedal its another step further away
Over the great divide on the eastern shore
The long road ends where the ocean roars
The shadows of my past get washed away
In the ebb and flow like some castaway
Oh I wont forget
But I can surely move on
And live my dream
In a one horse town the walls press in
Condemning a man to lay aside his dreams
So I feel like I’m running to something not trying to escape
It’s a clear blue day on a black top road
A highway that promises the rest of the world
I’m still trying to shake off the dust cloud following me
Over the great divide on the eastern shore
The long road ends where the ocean roars
The shadows of my past get washed away
In the ebb and flow like some castaway
Oh I wont forget
But I can surely move on
And live my dream
